Print Shop Management Software for India

Print shop management software centralises customer document intake, organises real-time print queues, calculates per-page rates, and routes jobs to your printer. QRPress is built specifically for Indian Xerox shops, cyber cafes, DTP centres and stationery counters rather than adapted from an enterprise system built for something else.

What print shop management software actually does

Four things, and nothing else. First, it takes documents in without the customer handing you a pen drive or saving your phone number. Second, it holds those documents in an ordered queue instead of in a chat thread. Third, it carries the print specification as data, so copies, colour, duplex and page range are recorded rather than remembered. Fourth, it gives the operator one place to see what is pending, what is printing and what is done.

A system that does only that, and does it reliably on a slow connection, is worth more to a counter than one with a hundred features behind a login screen.

Problems it removes

• WhatsApp contact exposure. Customers stop needing your personal number, so your contacts stop filling with strangers and their numbers stop being collected by you.
• Pen drive malware. Files arrive over the network rather than through a USB port on a machine the public can reach.
• Counter bottleneck. "Black and white or colour? Single or back-to-back?" is asked before the customer reaches you, not at the machine.
• Miscount reprints. The copy count is on the order, so the most common expensive error at a counter largely disappears.

What customers actually do

1. Scan the counter QR code with a phone camera. No app, no store, no account.
2. Upload PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG from their phone — up to 300 MB per file, 50 MB per job.
3. Choose colour or black and white, copies, single or double sided, and any page range.
4. See the cost calculated from your rates, then submit.

The job appears in your queue with that specification attached. You print it from the web dashboard, the QRPress Android app, or the Windows desktop agent that sends jobs straight to a USB or network printer.

What it does not do

• It does not take payment for printing. Customers pay you directly, in cash or by UPI, as they already do.
• It does not set your prices. You set your own per-page rates and customers are quoted from them.
• It does not create customers or raise your footfall. It removes friction for people already walking past.
• It does not reduce paper or ink cost. What it reduces is wastage — reprints, abandoned jobs and miscounts.

Document privacy

Customer documents are uploaded over an encrypted connection to Cloudflare R2 storage and permanently deleted within 24 hours of upload by an automated cleanup job that runs hourly. Nothing accumulates on the counter computer, and there is no growing folder of other people's bank statements and marksheets sitting next to your printer.
